Scrambling & Hillwalking Days

Whether your aim is to climb Mount Everest or Snowdon, we can help with that journey by giving you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to get their top.  Scrambling  is one of the most fun things you can do in the mountains, We provide tuition in the ropework for when you need it and navigation/Hill skills  to get you around the mountains, find those routes, and get up them safe and efficiently.

 

Set in Snowdonia, North Wales this course will introduce you to the skills required to be in the mountains using some of the best scrambles the UK has to offer. Access the high tops whilst gaining the necessary skills, a combination of rope-related and hillwalking skills, which we can tailor to your needs and wishes.

A one to two instructor student ratio will allow us to tailor the course to your specific needs. We can then match your aspirations and skill level in order to develop your confidence safely.

The course will cover:

  • Compass and map work as required.
  • Guidebooks and grades.
  • Scrambling rope work.
  • Gear placement.
  • Anchor selection.
  • Stance management.
  • Rescues and emergency procedures for the hills.
  • Equipment checks, fall factors, and avoiding personal injury.

The cost is £200 per day (£100 per person for 2 people) or £165 per day for 1 person. We provide all ropes and climbing equipment (cams, nuts, wires, hexes, slings etc.). You will need to provide your personal equipment, boots, harness, etc. though we have a small supply of these items as well.
