What is Multi-Pitch?   

Unlike single-pitch or lead climbing, which involves a climber ascending a route of a single rope length , multi-pitch climbing involves climbers doing multiple rope length pitches to their destination. This type of climbing offer climbers the ability to cover longer distances.

Multi-pitch climbing can take you to some of the most magical places in the world, places where the majority of people will never get to go. Multi-pitch climbing allows climbers to climb the highest cliffs and scale the biggest mountains. This is where climbing combines with adventure and a journey.

We will introduce you to some of the best multi-pitch climbing the UK has to offer whilst giving you the necessary skills needed to climb safely in the mountains. Being full members of the   Association of Mountain Instructors  our professional instruction will assist your progression to be safe and independent in multi-pitch climbing. We operate one to two instructor student ratio so this will allow us to tailor the course to your specific needs. We can then match your aspirations and skill level in order to develop your confidence safely.

The course will cover:

• Multi-pitch lead climbing.
• Stance management.
• Gear placement.
• Anchor selection.
• Multi-pitch rescues and emergency procedures.
• Guidebooks and grades.
• Equipment checks, fall factors, and avoiding personal injury.

This course can be based in North Wales or Lake District area. Please   contact us   to discuss your requests. 

The cost is £200 per day (£100 per person for 2 people) or £165 per day for 1 person. We  provide all ropes and climbing equipment (cams, nuts, wires, hexes, slings etc.). You will need to provide your personal equipment, shoes, harness, chalk bag etc. though we have a small supply of these items as well. 

Our website and downloads contains a wealth of information which may be  useful to you. There are downloadable documents and books that may allow a more speedy progression in skills.
